United Supermarkets, Brookshire's Make List of Texas' Best Employers
LUBBOCK and TYLER, Texas -- United Supermarkets, LLC and Brookshire Grocery Co. made this year's list of "Best Companies to Work for in Texas," issued by the Texas Association of Business (TAB), Texas State Council of the Society for Human Resource Management (TSC-SHRM), and Best Companies Group.
United made the list for the third year in a row, falling under the large-sized company category. Brookshire's also qualified in the large-sized company category.
The list comprises 75 companies split into three categories: 20 small-sized companies, 25 medium-sized companies, and 30 large-sized companies.
Companies had to fulfill the following eligibility requirements:
1. Be a for-profit, not-for-profit business or government entity;
2. Be a publicly or privately held business;
3. Have a facility in Texas;
4. Have at least 25 employees in Texas;
5. Be in business a minimum of 1 year.
Judges evaluated each nominated company's workplace policies, practices, philosophy, systems, and demographics; and measured the employee experience via an employee survey.
