LONG ISLAND CITY, N.Y -- Following a recent successful expansion into New Jersey and West New York, online grocer FreshDirect yesterday extended its delivery service to include parts of Douglaston, Little Neck, and Great Neck, Long Island.

CHICAGO -- Internet grocer Peapod, LLC, based here, and Quincy, Mass.-based Stop & Shop are expanding their online grocery purchasing and delivery service to more areas on Long Island, NY, with deliveries starting March 6.
