MINNEAPOLIS -- Target Corp. here, in partnership with Supervalu, Inc., also based here, plans to open its first fresh foods distribution center, in Lake City, Fla., in late summer 2008. ST. LOUIS -- Schnucks Markets Inc. here is partnering with Kaldi's Coffee, also based here, to offer coffee bars in some of its local stores. The family-held chain debuted the first Kaldi's yesterday during the grand opening of its new Twin Oaks replacement store.

ST. LOUIS -- Save-A-Lot, based here, said it will open five stores in Texas within the next month. Two will be in Houston, while the others will be located in Brownsville, Harlingen, and Victoria.
