ShopRite Spotlights In-store Dietitians

Inspired by the Academy of Nutrition and Dietetics’ planned recognition of registered dietitians on Wednesday, March 12, ShopRite’s retail dietitian team will hold special events, in-store demonstrations and free giveaways throughout March, which is National Nutrition Month.

“With more than 80 retail registered dietitians, ShopRite is always looking at new ways to better serve customers and to help them live healthier lifestyles,” said Natalie Menza, the banner's corporate dietitian. “Registered Dietitian Day is a great way to spread ShopRite’s wellness message and share tips and tricks for healthy living.”

Free Consultations and More

Introduced in 2006, ShoRite's health-and-wellness program features on-site registered dietitians in select stores on a daily basis for free customer consultations that include personal nutrition, special diets for specific medical conditions, healthy alternatives to favorite recipes, smarter shopping for healthier living, and incorporating more nutritious foods into everyday meals.

Additionally, ShopRite’s dietitians team with various community groups, such as area youth organizations and food pantries, to teach children and adults about the importance of a healthy lifestyle via store tours, cooking demos and in-store seminars.
