    KANSAS CITY, Kan. -- Shoppers buying many well-known national brands at Price Chopper here this month will be helping to cheer up area children sorely in need of happiness: The purchase of selected brands in the retailer's stores supports Kansas City's Dream Factory, the local chapter of a national volunteer-based nonprofit organization with the goal of fulfilling dreams for children with life-altering illnesses. The campaign marks the third year in a row that Price Chopper has backed the local charity this way, raising $50,000 to date.
