Beer returns to Jamaican roots
The first cases of Red Stripe’s once-again Jamaican-brewed beer have arrived in the United States, which come after the September 2016 return of Red Stripe’s production to Jamaica. The plan came following Heineken’s acquisition of a controlling stake in the brand last fall, becoming part of the beer company’s broader mission to deliver “true import brands” that exemplify transparency and authenticity. Red Stripe Jamaican-brewed lager will hit the ground running on January 1, 2017 with a fully integrated campaign that leverages the culture and small island roots that have captivated the hearts and minds of consumers across generations.
