Frontera Taco Bowls, Skillet Meals
Chicago-based Conagra Brands has added two frozen lines under the Frontera brand: taco bowls and taco skillet meals. Both feature the distinct flavors of Mexico, including authentic Mexican sauces made in small batches from fresh, fire-roasted ingredients, and fresh and dried chili peppers.
Available in 11-ounce packages, the bowls come in four varieties: Chicken Fajita, with grilled, seasoned chicken breast alongside a three-grain blend, fire-roasted bell peppers, red onions and fire-roasted tomatoes in a zesty fajita sauce; Barbacoa Taco, with braised, seasoned beef alongside a three-grain blend, black beans, red onion and fire-roasted bell peppers and tomatoes in a roasted tomato chili sauce; Veggie Taco (vegan), a three-grain blend topped with fire-roasted zucchini, sautéed onions, white beans, fire-roasted poblanos and corn in a bright tomatillo and cilantro sauce; and Tinga Taco, with grilled, seasoned chicken breast alongside a three-grain blend, fire-roasted tomatoes and bell peppers, and red onion in a roasted tomato chili sauce.
And in 20-ounce packages, the skillet meals come in five varieties: Chicken Fajita, with grilled, seasoned chicken breast alongside fire-roasted bell peppers, onions and tomatoes in a zesty fajita sauce; Veggie Taco (vegan), with roasted sweet potatoes, black beans, plantains, green beans, sautéed onions and fire-roasted bell peppers in a red chili sauce; Chicken Taco, with grilled, seasoned chicken breast alongside fire-roasted bell peppers and onions in a red chili sauce; Barbacoa Taco, with braised, seasoned beef alongside black beans, red onion and fire-roasted tomatoes in a roasted tomato chili sauce; and Carnitas Taco, with braised, seasoned pork alongside fire-roasted poblano and yellow peppers, onions and black beans in a bright tomatillo and cilantro sauce.
