Sparks, Nev.-based Davidson's Organics has expanded its line to include the superfood Baobab Powder. Nutrient dense, it boasts some of the highest antioxidant properties of any other fruit in the world. Baobab powder is made from baobab fruit, which comes from the baobab tree, native to tropical regions of Africa. It offers a sherbet-like citrus flavor and can be incorporated into smoothies, fruit juices, cereals, yogurts, baked goods and dairy products, as well as consumed in a tea-like format. High in soluble and insoluble fiber, rich in Vitamin C and containing beneficial minerals such as calcium, copper, iron, magnesium, potassium and zinc, the powder retails in 2-ounce bags (40 to 60 servings) with an SRP of $9.76.
