Tyson Foods Appoints New V.P. of Foodservice Marketing

SPRINGDALE, Ark. -- Sylvia A. Wulf has joined Tyson Foods, Inc. here as v.p. of marketing for the foodservice group. She will begin her new duties in June and report directly to Wendy Davidson, group v.p.

In her new post Wulf will be responsible for the foodservice group's brand strategy, product marketing, channel business development, and marketing communications.

"She brings an exceptional background in foodservice marketing to Tyson and has a proven track record of building brands. We look forward to the positive influence and growth her leadership will add to our already strong foodservice group."

Wulf joins Tyson Foods from Bakery Chef, a frozen foods manufacturer headquartered in Chicago, where she was v.p. of sales and marketing. In that role she managed all aspects of sales, including national accounts, as well as marketing, research, and development and customer service. Prior to that, Wulf was s.v.p. of national account sales and marketing for Sara Lee Coffee and Tea, where she was responsible for all product development and innovation, brand strategy, and advertising and public relations. She has also served as v.p. of marketing for Pillsbury Bakeries & Foodservice and Bunge Foods Corp.

Additionally, Wulf has extensive new-product and new-business development expertise as well, having managed those divisions for the NutraSweet Co. and Tate & Lyle, a global producer of sugar and sweeteners.

A leader in the foodservice industry, Wulf has served on the board of directors for the Women's Foodservice Forum and is a board member of the International Foodservice Manufacturers Association. She is a member of the Development Committee and a fellow of the Culinary Institute of America.
