Tops Names Vet New Senior Manager of Regulatory and Environmental Services
Tops Markets, LLC said it has promoted Jim DiMartino to the newly created position of senior manager of regulatory and environmental services.
In his new role, DiMartino, who has been with Tops for 28 years, is a liaison between Tops and regulatory agencies such as the U.S. Food and Drug Administration, the U.S. Department of Agriculture, Weights and Measures, and city and county health departments. Additionally, he oversees daily monitoring of sanitation and housekeeping standards for the Williamsville, N.Y.-based grocer.
DiMartino was most recently Tops' manager of regulatory and environmental services at Tops, and has also worked as a food safety inspector. His industry affiliations include the New York State Association for Food Protection and Central Atlantic States of Food and Drug Officials.
Tops operates 71 full-service supermarkets and five franchise supermarkets, and employs over 10,000 associates.
