Stater Bros. Sheds Light with New Store in Southwest Riverside County
COLTON, Calif. -- Regional independent Stater Bros. Markets yesterday opened a new full-service supermarket at the French Valley Village Center in Winchester, Calif., its 43rd supermarket in Riverside County, which will have among its many features new energy efficient skylights to increase natural light inside the facility as well as help the environment.
The 44,000-square-foot store also features:
-- Full service meat department
-- Fresh seafood department
-- Hot service deli with a selection of salads, premium deli meats, domestic and imported cheeses, sandwiches-to-go, party trays, quick and easy hot lunches and dinners, and fried chicken
-- Bakery featuring daily fresh baked artisan breads, cookies, rolls, elegant desserts, and custom-made cakes for all occasions, including picture cakes.
-- Expanded produce department with more than 800 items
-- Floral department offering fresh-cut flower bouquets, silk arrangements, potted plants, and balloons
-- Full service Super Rx Pharmacy
Stater Bros. operates 162 Supermarkets, with more than 17,000 employees. Its annual sales in 2005 were $3.4 billion. The retailer also owns and operates Heartland Farms, provider of Knudsen Dairy products to the Southern California region.
