Schnucks Brings Specialty Pharmacy to Quad Cities
Schnucks' new specialty pharmacy in Moline, Ill., is the grocer's ninth in its Midwest market area

Schnuck Markets has partnered with The Project of the Quad Cities (TPQC) to open a 590-square-foot specialty pharmacy in the TPQC facilities in Moline, Ill.

Schnucks Specialty Pharmacies focus on medication therapy for patients with complex diseases that range from cancer, multiple sclerosis and HIV/AIDS to rare genetic conditions.

“We’re looking forward to expanding our local pharmacy offerings and operations while providing comprehensive and coordinated care for patients with chronic illnesses and complex medical conditions,” said Noah Tennyson, Schnucks director of specialty pharmacy. “Our specialty pharmacies connect these patients with the medications that are prescribed and support those who are facing financial challenges for these highly needed but also frequently costly medications.”

This location will mark Schnucks’ ninth specialty pharmacy throughout the Midwest. The St. Louis-based company also operates 107 retail pharmacies.

Privately held Schnucks operates 98 stores in Missouri, Illinois, Indiana, Wisconsin and Iowa, employing more than 13,000 associates. The company is No. 31 on Progressive Grocer's 2018 Super 50 list of the top grocers in the United States.
