Roche Bros. Supermarkets Chooses Park City Group's Fresh Market Manager

WELLESLEY HILL, Mass. -- Roche Brothers Supermarkets, based here, has signed a contract agreement with Utah-based Park City Group to deploy Park City Group's grocery solution for fresh item management -- Fresh Market Manager (FMM).

Roche has selected the PAYGo (Pay-As-You-Go) subscription model for its bakery and Kitchen/Hot Foods departments. The Roche Bros. and Park City Group teams have already completed their initial project kick-off meeting and are under way with the implementation activities.

According to Park City Group's Web site, "FMM is a fully integrated, end-to-end management system for perishable, nonperishable, and foodservice departments such as bakery, deli, produce, meat, seafood, dairy, floral, and frozen. FMM provides category analysis and precise item management, in-store forecasting and production planning, computer-aided ordering, perpetual on-hand inventory, and real-time alerts."

"From the very beginning, Roche Brothers Supermarkets has focused on fresh products at the store," notes v.p. of merchandising Paul McGillivray in a statement. "Our decision to implement FMM in our bakery and Kitchen/Hot Foods departments is part of our efforts to continue to be one of the most innovative, distinguished, and exciting supermarkets in our industry while meeting our customers' expectation of the highest-quality products and delivering outstanding customer service."

Roche Bros./Sudbury Farms, founded in 1952, currently has 13 Roche Bros. and three Sudbury Farms stores, with an anticipated 14th store due to open in June 2005. The company's stores include features such as bulk produce, deli kitchens with a large variety of homemade products, and a fresh fish department with exclusive rights to sell Foley fish, which had previously only been available in fine restaurants in the United States.
