RILA, NAHR to Hold Inaugural Retail HR Leaders Forum
The Retail Industry Leaders Association (RILA) and the National Academy of Human Resources (NAHR) have revealed plans to present the first-ever Retail HR Leaders Forum, which will explore critical issues confronting the chief human resources officers (CHROs) of major retailers. The event is scheduled to take place April 17-19, 2013, in Atlanta.
RILA and NAHR created the event to bring together HR executives in an interactive forum to trade perspectives and discuss their companies’ top-of-mind issues.
“[T]his inaugural forum … will combine a first-class program of exceptional speakers with an exclusive audience of top executives for the sharing of best practices and technical expertise among these senior leaders,” said Sandy Kennedy, president of Arlington, Va.-based RILA.
“The content and high-level networking will provide a great professional development opportunity for those who attend, and also serve to promote the HR profession within retail,” said Dick Antoine, president of Longboat Key, Fla.-based NAHR.
The 2013 Retail HR Leaders Forum will focus on such issues as demographics and the changing workforce, employee engagement, the state of legislation and regulation, business trends, the economic and consumer outlook, industry insights, developing HR talent, and workforce planning.
These and other topics will be covered by industry experts, leading academics and top CHROs, with plenty of time allotted for high-level networking and discussion.
