Registration Open for 20th Annual Natural/Organic Products Expo
BOULDER, Colo. -- The Natural Products Expo East/Organic Products Expo-BioFach America, which will hold its 20th anniversary show on Sept. 15 to Sept. 18 at the Washington D.C. Convention Center, is currently registering attendees, who will get the chance to meet with more than 1,100 exhibitors of natural and organic products and ingredients.
The show identifies industry trends and offers opportunities to sample and learn about natural and organic products from around the world. Over 20,000 industry members attended Natural Products Expo East in 2004.
Features of the coming show will include the third annual Products Showcase Award Competition, which spotlights hundreds of new items in six categories. Retailers will select the winners of the contest.
Natural Products Expo East consists of Healthcare; Natural, Specialty, and Vegetarian Foods; Natural Home and Textiles; Personal Care; Pet Products; Supplements; and Ingredients pavilions, while Organic Products Expo-BioFach America displays a myriad of certified organic products. The show floor is open Friday and Saturday from 10 a.m. to 6 p.m., and Sunday from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. The outdoor Fresh Ideas Organic Farmers' Market, which will take place Thursday, Sept. 15 from 1:00 to 5:00 p.m., is open to the public.
An educational program runs throughout the show, starting Thursday, Sept. 15. Seminars will address such topics as industry developments, marketing, merchandising, sustainability, and trends in health and wellness. Mind/body medicine pioneer Deepak Chopra will deliver the keynote address Sunday, Sept. 19 from 9 a.m. to 10 a.m.
