Publix's convenience offerings for shoppers include valet parking at some Florida stores
Publix Super Markets Inc. now offers free valet parking at more stores in Florida’s Tampa Bay region after introducing the service at a South Tampa location in June, according to a published report.
The Lakeland, Fla.-based supermarket chain also provides valet parking at stores in its hometown and St. Petersburg, in addition to locations in Naples and Lakewood Ranch, company spokesman Brian West told the Tampa Bay Business Journal.
West earlier told the publication that Publix previously offered the service at select Palm Beach and Boca Raton stores.
Valet parking is just the latest convenience offering for Publix, whose other programs in this vein include in-store meal kits, a curbside-pickup test at some locations of groceries ordered online, and grocery delivery by Instacart.
Publix landed at No. 5 on Progressive Grocer's 2018 Super 50 list of top grocers in the United States.
