Marsh Supermarkets Opens Restaurant
INDIANAPOLIS - Marsh Supermarkets, Inc. today announced the opening of its first-ever restaurant at the corner of 146th Street and State Road 37 in Noblesville, Ind., near the company's new Life Style supermarket.
Trios Di Tuscanos is a quick, casual restaurant operated by Crystal Food Services, a Marsh subsidiary. According to Crystal, the new venue offers "three food programs with one unique experience as a real meal alternative to fast food." The restaurant takes its name from the three different food groupings offered from a Tuscan-style kitchen. Tuscany is a region in west central Italy.
"We are proud to launch this entirely new concept for Marsh and Crystal Food Services," said Marsh chairman and c.e.o. Don E. Marsh. "If this pilot location goes well, we may expand this new concept throughout the Midwest."
The restaurant's trio of offerings includes rotisserie foods such as roasted meats and hearty hot and cold side dishes, customized gourmet pizzas with specialty toppings, or sandwiches accompanied by soup and salad. A typical individual check average will be in the $7 to $8 range. Children's meals are priced at $3.50, and the average price of family meals is from $20 to $25.
Food cooked fresh to order by specially trained chefs is available for speedy pickup at a drive-up express window or can be eaten in an open-air Mediterranean-style dining room, complete with a fountain and a fireplace in the courtyard area. For the diet-conscious, the menu also includes a wide array of vegetarian, low-carbohydrate, and low-fat choices. Carry-out is available and can be ordered by phone, fax, or walkup.
Half of the structure housing the restaurant is shared by McNamara Florists, another Marsh subsidiary. McNamara changes its decor seasonally, so patrons will enjoy the indulgence of fresh flowers and seasonally themed giftware as they dine. The restaurant will be open from 11 a.m. to 9 p.m. every day of the week.
