    COPPELL, Texas -- Minyard Food Stores, Inc., based here, closed its Minyard store at 2320 S. Collins in Arlington, Texas on Saturday. Another store in Arlington, at 4400 Green Oaks, remains open.

    MATTHEWS, N.C. -- Southeastern chain Harris Teeter here continues to set its sights northward, as the retailer prepares to build a new store in Columbia, Md. beginning this summer, according to published reports. The new unit, which will reportedly be located on the site of a Safeway store set to be demolished, would be one of 19 new stores Harris Teeter has planned for 2006.
