Land O’Frost, Marvel Team for Film Promo
Lunchmeat manufacturer Land O’Frost has joined forces with Marvel, the comic book company behind the forthcoming blockbuster “Marvel’s The Avengers,” to offer one consumer exclusive behind-the-scenes access to Marvel’s offices in New York.
Specially marked packages of Land O’Frost Premium products contain game codes that can be entered online for exclusive “Avengers” access. The holder of one special code will be chosen to embark on the grand-prize trip for four to the Big Apple to tour the Marvel office, receive a private helicopter tour of the city, eat a “Top-secret Lunch” at a chic restaurant and enjoy the services of a personal assistant.
“We believe that Mom is the household superhero to her kids, and we’re excited to give Mom the chance to show her superpowers by giving her kids exclusive access to what is sure to be the biggest hit of the summer, “Marvel’s The Avengers,’” noted Keith Hill, brand manager of Lansing, Mich.-based Land O’Frost.
In addition to the trip, 500 first-prize winners will get a free download for the Marvel Avengers Assemble app (for iPhone, iPad or iPod Touch), and one in 100 second-prize winners will instantly receive a never-before-seen limited-edition Avengers trading card featuring one of the film’s famous superheroes.
This is the third year in a row that Land O’Frost has collaborated with Marvel: The lunchmeat company has also been a part of the “Iron Man 2” and “Captain America” film launches.
Based on the Marvel comic book series, “The Avengers,” produced by Marvel Studios and due in theaters May 4, features the ultimate team-up of Marvel superheroes Iron Man, The Incredible Hulk, Thor, Captain America, Hawkeye and Black Widow. The film stars Robert Downey Jr., Chris Evans, Mark Ruffalo, Chris Hemsworth, Scarlett Johansson, Jeremy Renner and Tom Hiddleston, Stellan Skarsgard and Samuel L. Jackson, and is directed by Joss Whedon, from a story by Zak Penn and Whedon, and a screenplay by Whedon.
