K-VA-T Deploys Fuel Management Software
ABINGDON, Va. -- K-VA-T Food Stores yesterday deployed a new Internet-based software solution to streamline and manage its fuel replenishment process.
K-VA-T is using TelaFuel, a browser-based application suite from Louisville, Ky.-based TelaPoint, to improve management of fuel replenishment operations across 43 of its company sites with gas operations in Kentucky, Tennessee, and Virginia. With TelaFuel, K-VA-T electronically processes fuel replenishment orders and optimizes the scheduling of its carriers to better manage petroleum inventories and supply logistics, resulting in lower costs and greater administrative efficiency, according to TelaPoint.
"We are actively pursuing our goal to maximize fuel replenishment efficiency utilizing TelaPoint's supply chain solution," said Lou Scudere, v.p. research and site development. "TelaFuel will help us better manage fuel inventories and carrier communications along with reducing administrative costs to reconcile petroleum transactions."
