Harris Teeter Offering Discount at Store Opening

To mark the April 2 opening of its store at Towne Square at Turf Valley in Maryland, Harris Teeter will offer customers 10 percent off their purchases from 5 p.m. to 10 p.m. The Matthews, N.C.-based grocer also will sample specific Harris Teeter Brands found throughout the location.

All Harris Teeter shoppers with a Very Important Customer (VIC) card are eligible for the discount, which will be targeted to shoppers’ cards up to $100, after all other coupons and VIC discounts are deducted. Customers without VIC cards can save time by filling out the application form in advance and bringing it with them to the store.

“The additional discount is a way for us to celebrate the occasion and welcome shoppers to their brand-new store,” noted Harris Teeter communication specialist Danna Jones.

The grocer will additionally waive the fee on all Express Lane Online Shopping orders at the new store between April 3 and April 30, as well as take an additional $5 off customers’ first four online shopping orders of $40 or more.

Further grand-opening activities scheduled for subsequent weekends at the Towne Square at Turf Valley location include an e-VIC Sign-up event to help shoppers enroll for e-VIC membership (April 5-7); the arrival of the Rancher Mobile to serve samples of Harris Teeter Rancher Beef (April 12-14); and an ice cream truck providing samples of Harris Teeter Ice Cream (April 19-21).
