Harps Foods Launches S&H Greenpoints Loyalty Program

SPRINGDALE, Ark. -- Harps Food Stores, Inc., a well-known regional independent based here, yesterday introduced a new loyalty program, "Harps Rewards with S&H greenpoints," in several of its more than 50 locations.

With the new program, Harps' shoppers will earn 10 greenpoints for every dollar they spend at participating Harps Foods Markets. Shoppers will be able to redeem their greenpoints either in store, through the print greenpoints catalog, or online at www.greenpoints.com. Greenpoints rewards range from movie tickets and household appliances to DVD players, sporting goods, and more.

"Harps Rewards with S&H greenpoints is not just a discount card like other loyalty programs," said Kim Eskew, e.v.p., Harps Food Stores, in a statement. "Rather, it rewards our shoppers for spending their grocery dollars with Harps. We are extremely pleased to be able to thank our shoppers for their loyalty over the years by helping them to buy the products they want and need."

San Francisco-based Pay By Touch, a provider of biometric payments and personalized marketing, provides the S&H greenpoints reward program, which is essentially the digital reinvention of the Sperry & Hutchinson Company's Green Stamps.

Additionally, Harps Foods has adopted Pay By Touch's SHPromo system. This real-time marketing solution features an offer engine that enables retailers to deliver one-to-one shopper messages in-store through multiple platforms.

Harps will eventually roll out the S&H greenpoints program to all its stores, according to Pay By Touch.

Employee-owned Harps Food Stores operates over 50 locations across Arkansas and in Oklahoma and Missouri.
