'Everyone's Hero' Plays Starring Role in IGA KidsFest Marketing Event

CHIGAGO, Ill. -- IGA based here, along with partners IDT Entertainment and 20th Century Fox, have aligned to promote the feature-length animated movie, "Everyone's Hero," during the national IGA KidsFest marketing event to be held in participating stores July 23-Aug. 6.

To promote the movie, 20th Century Fox and IDT Entertainment have added 10 prizes to the annual IGA KidsFest Treasure Hunt Game prize package.

The Treasure Hunt Game, which features simple multiple choice questions designed to familiarize children with their local Hometown Proud IGA Supermarket, will direct children to sale-priced sponsor items from famous name brands, including: ConAgra Foods, The Coca-Cola Company, Georgia- Pacific Corporation, Kraft Foods, Nabisco Biscuit Company, Nestlé Purina PetCare Company, Nestlé USA, The J.M. Smucker Company and Unilever.

Participating children may then turn in their game cards to be eligible to win via random drawing one of 10 national ticket packages, each of which includes four tickets to the winner's hometown ballpark (up to $50 per ticket) and $150 for gas, parking and food.

"The IGA marketing team is continually looking to improve our current marketing events and we believe 'Everyone's Hero' is a perfect fit with KidsFest," said Zorona Nance, IGA marketing events coordinator.

"Everyone's Hero" is a comedy- adventure that tells the story of a young boy's thousand-mile journey to help Babe Ruth and the New York Yankees win the World Series. The project's theme of perseverance against all odds was inspired by the film's originating director and executive producer, Christopher Reeve.

"We're proud to have the IGA name associated with Christopher Reeve's last project," says Nance, adding that it's a, "story of courage and perseverance that our IGA Hometown Proud kids will undoubtedly respect and enjoy."

"Everyone's Hero" will be distributed by 20th Century Fox and released
September 15. The movie features the voices of Jake T. Austin, Richard Kind, Dana Reeve, Joe Torre, Brian Dennehy, William H. Macy, Rob Reiner, Robert Wagner, Whoopi Goldberg, Mandy Patinkin, and Raven Symone.
