  • Rite Aid Launches Online Photo Processing

    CAMP HILL, Pa. -- Pharmacy chain Rite Aid yesterday launched a digital photo processing service in which consumers can upload and edit digital images on the retailer's Web site and pick up prints at 800 Rite Aid stores on the West Coast and in Harrisburg, Pa. in one hour. The chain plans to roll out this technology to an additional 700 stores in New York City, Philadelphia, Cleveland, Detroit, and Portland, Maine by the end of the year.

    CAMP HILL, Pa. -- Drugstore retail chain Rite Aid here said yesterday that its free senior loyalty program, Living More, is now offering more savings to seniors. Living More, which has more than 1.6 million seniors enrolled, now offers members 10 percent off most items at Rite Aid stores every Tuesday.

    CARTERET, N.J. -- Pathmark Stores Inc. here said yesterday it has named John T. Standley, former c.f.o. at Camp Hill, Pa.-based Rite Aid Corp., as its new c.e.o., effective Aug. 29. Standley succeeds Eileen Scott, who has been c.e.o. since 2002, and will now, according to the company, "[turn] her time and focus to other interests."

    CAMP HILL, Pa. -- Furthering its focus on health and wellness, drug store retailer Rite Aid Corp. here said yesterday it has signed an agreement with Take Care Health Systems, LLC to open health centers staffed by certified nurse practitioners in 10 Rite Aid stores in the Portland, Ore. market by Nov. 1.
