Bill Drew Retires from Wisconsin Milk Marketing Board

The Wisconsin Milk Marketing Board’s (WMMB) long-time marketing executive, Bill Drew, retired effective July 4. Most recently v.p./marketing services, Drew was involved in a number of key Wisconsin dairy promotion initiatives over his career ,and worked passionately to help create demand for Wisconsin Cheese since joining the trade group in 1989, WMMB said.

“Bill Drew has been an outstanding advocate for Wisconsin's dairy producers,” said WMMB’s c.e.o., James Robson.

He will continue to help promote Wisconsin dairy products as a consultant.

At various points, Drew managed all Wisconsin Cheese promotional activities, the oversight of regional marketing managers and foodservice and food processing activities. He has directed the development of a number of branding initiatives including the development of the Wisconsin Cheese logo that appears on the packaging of more than 200 Wisconsin cheese brands. He also played a key role in the development of Wisconsin cheese advertising for the past decade.

Most recently, Drew had overseen the development of new foodservice advertising, which is currently appearing in trade publications.

Over the course of his varied career, Drew worked for the Nestle Co., Nabisco, Beatrice, Saco Foods and Graber Industries.
