Winn-Dixie Lays Out Scheme for Creditor Votes on Bankruptcy Plan
JACKSONVILLE, Fla. -- Winn-Dixie Stores, Inc. here revealed more details about creditor approval of its bankruptcy plan in a motion filed with the U.S. Middle District of Florida bankruptcy court.
Creditor votes on Winn-Dixie's reorganization plan are due to the company's vote counter by Sept. 25, one week before the reorganization plan confirmation hearing. That hearing is tentatively scheduled for Oct. 2.
Winn-Dixie has a hearing Aug. 4 to approve the company's disclosure statement. The retailer said it would need up to seven days after that hearing to begin sending out voting packages to creditors.
Only creditors who are receiving a portion of their claim in the reorganization will be eligible to vote on the plan.
