Whole Foods Selects MicroStrategy for Enterprise Reporting and Analytics

Whole Foods Market has chosen MicroStrategy's Business Intelligence Platform to support a broad range of business intelligence applications across its business.

The Austin, Texas-based supernatural is employing the platform to analyze sales and operational data at its 275 stores in North America and the United Kingdom. BI users throughout the company are using MicroStrategy for detailed insights into product sales. Additionally, Whole Foods has enabled its suppliers and vendors to view sales data for their particular product lines via a MicroStrategy-based application.

"MicroStrategy's proven expertise in retail business intelligence was a key factor in selecting them as our BI provider," said Whole Foods IT senior coordinator of purchasing, private label, and reporting Dave Zodikoff. "We evaluated several leading BI products and, using a total cost of ownership model, determined that MicroStrategy had the best combination of ease-of-use, time-to-market, successful retail implementations, and robust analytical capabilities."

"MicroStrategy's integrated platform delivers comprehensive reports and analyses that can serve as critical tools for companies committed to improving operational efficiencies and enhancing business performance," said MicroStrategy c.o.o. Sanju Bansal, c.o.o. of McLean, Va.-based MicroStrategy, Inc.
