Whole Foods Co-Sponsors 2008 Farm Aid

Natural grocer Whole Foods Market is co-sponsoring the 2008 Farm Aid concert, the longest running annual concert that benefits family farms. During the Sept. 20 concert at Comcast Center in Mansfield, Mass., Whole Foods will be sampling food from 16 local vendors from across New England and will cater 4,000 meals for artists, press, VIPs and backstage crew at the event. Over 100 Whole Foods team members will serve, demonstrate and prepare food at the event.

"Farmers need our help now more than ever," said Jeff Turnas, president of Whole Foods Market's North Atlantic Region.

Event headliners include Willie Nelson, Dave Matthews, John Mellencamp, Neil Young, and other artists.
