Whole Foods To Build New Unit in Naperville, Ill
NAPERVILLE, Ill. – Whole Foods will build a 60,000-square-foot store here that will serve as the anchor to a 23.6-acre retail and restaurant center called Springbrook Prairie Market.
Kate Klotz, Midwest media relations representative for Whole Foods, was quoted in local reports as saying the company takes several variables into account when determining site selection, including the interest in organic and natural foods in a specific community. Klotz said when the company was scouting the city for a new store, there was a lot of interest among residents.
Whole Foods plans to open between 15 and 20 stores in the next 12 months and has six that are either new or in development in the Chicago area.
