Wegmans Names Div. Consumer Affairs Manager for Syracuse, NY Area

Wegmans Food Markets, Inc. has named Evelyn Carter division consumer affairs manager for the grocer's 10 Syracuse. N.Y.-area stores, including the store in Auburn, N.Y. Carter will be based at Wegmans' Syracuse division office, in Liverpool, N.Y., and will handle media relations, community investment, and consumer affairs in the region.

Carter joined Wegmans in August 2007 in the human resources department. She previously held positions at United Technologies Carrier Corp., and, more recently, at Bristol-Myers Squibb.
