Wakefern’s Chris Lane Keynoting NJFC Trade Relations Conference

Chris Lane, EVP for Wakefern Food Corp., will deliver the keynote address during the New Jersey Food Council’s (NJFC) 2017 Trade Relations Conference, slated for June 6 at Harrah’s Resort, in Atlantic City, N.J., from 3 p.m. to 6 p.m.

Lane’s responsibilities at Keasbey, N.J.-based Wakefern, the largest retailer-owned cooperative in the United States, include guiding the day-to-day operations and strategic planning for the co-op, whose members operate more than 270 ShopRite stores in the Northeast.

Also during the conference, Stan Barrasso, SVP metro Mid-Atlantic at Jacksonville, Fla.-based Acosta Sales & Marketing, will receive the NJFC Max Stone Trade Relations Award, named in honor of the longtime trade relations leader for The Best Foods Inc., based in Englewood Cliffs, N.J.

As is customary, the conference will conclude with a Curtain Closer golf event at Galloway National Golf Club, in Galloway, N.J., on June 7 at 9 a.m.

Trenton-based NJFC represents 1,200 retail food stores, wholesalers, manufacturing and service companies that collectively employ more than 200,000 associates in the Garden State.
