Wakefern Food Corp. Upgrades Employee Management System
ELIZABETH, N.J. - Wakefern Food Corp. has selected the Deploy Solutions Enterprise Talent Suite to manage employee recruiting, assessment, and talent management.
Ernie Bell, Wakefern’s v.p. of human resources, said the company completed a thorough review of both new and existing HR software products and decided to go with the Deploy solution because of its ability to be configured to manage the unique hiring needs of member-owned stores, corporate stores, and distribution
centers.
"We are a cooperative of 42 independent companies," explained Bell in a statement. "The Deploy system allows us to streamline our recruiting and application procedures through our company Web site, as well as through wireless Internet kiosks located inside the stores. The assessment tools in the software are among the most sophisticated we found in our analysis."
Wakefern and the 192 ShopRite stores throughout New Jersey, New York, Connecticut, Pennsylvania, and Delaware currently employ over 40,000 people.
