VNU Launches Executive Perspective Service

NEW YORK -- VNU, Inc., the parent company of Progressive Grocer, yesterday launched "Executive Perspective," a unique new information service targeting senior executives who shape their company's strategies in the consumer packaged goods and retail industry.

Leveraging the expertise and market-leading position of VNU's Business Media and Marketing Information brands, Executive Perspective combines the company's journalistic and analytical capabilities to deliver news, analysis and forecasts. The content, which is offered in print, online, and face-to-face through monthly in-depth topical reports, real-time alerts, presentations, and custom analyses, inspires forward-thinking execution in industry leaders and provides data-supported conclusions on timely, relevant issues to help in making business decisions.

The new service offers business leaders an independent perspective on news and emerging trends and the potential impact on CPG and retail business by using VNU assets, which are active in over 100 countries and include 45 publications, among them Adweek, Brandweek, Convenience Store News, and Progressive Grocer, along with marketing information and insight providers ACNielsen, ACNielsen Homescan, Spectra, BASES, Claritas, and TDLinx. Drawing on these brands, as well as insights and commentary from external industry experts, Executive Perspective dissects urgent new industry developments, assesses market opportunities and risks, and delivers accurate forecasts and projections.

"Our clients turn to us for thought leadership and industry insights that go beyond our data and analyses," noted Executive Perspective general manager James Russo. "To meet our clients' needs, Executive Perspective allows time-pressured executives to cut through the clutter and clarifies the relevance of industry issues. By combining our authoritative perspective with our objective analysis of the CPG and retail business, executives have gained access to a wealth of exclusive information and resources that extend the impact of our market knowledge through this unique offering."

A subscription-based service, Executive Perspective has four membership levels: Basic Access, Gold Access, "Client Defined Access," and Group Subscriptions/Enterprise Solutions. Under the Basic Access membership, an individual receives monthly topical reports and timely alerts, while Gold Access also includes an annual in-person "Executive Foresight Presentation" on key topics and trends of the previous year and expectations for the coming year. Client Defined Access and Group Subscriptions/Enterprise Solutions deliver integrated value and can be enhanced to include additional content, topical reports, and client-specific recommendations, in addition to allowing executives to redistribute Executive Perspective to a broader readership within their company.

VNU is a global information and media company with leading market positions and recognized brands in marketing information, media measurement and information, and business information.
