United Supermarkets Sees 12-week ROI With New Loss Prevention Solution

LUBBOCK, Texas -- Just 12 weeks after deploying a new loss prevention solution, United Supermarkets here saw a 43 percent reduction in refunds and voids, a 7-cent increase in value per item and 5 percent increase in sales per customer.

United is using the ShrinkTrax and DM2 loss prevention solutions from Scottzdale, Ariz.-based Trax Retail Solutions.

"Our ShrinkTrax implementation has gone exactly as planned," said Sidney Hopper, c.o.o., United Supermarkets. "Our store managers and team members responded positively to the ShrinkTrax training and proactive coaching. The Trax process brought the team members into the shrink-reduction effort through improved operations and checker performance, which fits perfectly with our culture. We knew we needed to involve the stores if we wanted to truly prevent shrink, and Trax was the best solution whose capabilities, process and technology fit that model."
