Tops Market Donating Proceeds From Festival Booth to Food Bank
WILLIAMSVILLE, N.Y. -- Ahold-owned Tops Markets here says it will donate the proceeds from its food booth at the 23rd annual Taste of Buffalo food festival, to the Food Bank of Western New York, according to a published report. This marks the second time in a row that the retailer will do so.
According to Tops Markets e.v.p. and g.m. Max Henderson Jr., the company is eager to surpass the more than $13,000 it contributed to the food bank after last year's festival. Tops is serving the presenting sponsor of the festival, which is scheduled for July 8 and July 9 in downtown Buffalo.
The Taste of Buffalo, the second-largest food festival, features 54 restaurants from across the region. The event drew over 400,000 attendees last year.
