Supervalu Names Corporate S.V.P. and C.O.O., Retail Food
MINNEAPOLIS - Supervalu said yesterday it has named Roger Davidson corporate s.v.p. and c.o.o., retail food companies. In this newly created position, Davidson will align operations and resources across the company’s retail food operations and bridge its corporate vision with near-term goals and objectives within the retail division.
Davidson will report to John Hooley, corporate e.v.p. and president, retail food companies.
Davidson has extensive experience in food retailing, including store operations and merchandising. He joins Supervalu from H.E. Butt Grocery Co., where he most recently was s.v.p., grocery procurement, merchandising, and store brands. Davidson spent more than 30 years with H-E-B.
Supervalu, Inc. holds leading market share positions with its more than 1,500 retail grocery locations, including licensed Save-A-Lot locations. In addition, through Supervalu's diverse logistics network, the company provides distribution and related logistics support services across the nation's grocery channel.
