Stew Leonard’s Garden Centers to Hold Workshops

Stew Leonard’s Garden Centers will offer free Saturday-morning workshops at their locations in Danbury and Norwalk, Conn. and Yonkers, N.Y., starting April 21. At each one-hour workshop, attendees will learn about lawn and gardening methods and trends from a Stew Leonard’s gardening expert, as well as receive handouts on the topic discussed.

The grocer’s Garden Centers sell hundreds of native flowers, vegetable bedding plants, hanging baskets, annuals, trees, mulch, potting soil and shrubs, in addition to garden tools and products. Many of the flowers and plants available for purchase are grown locally, according to Norwalk-based Stew Leonard’s.

The workshops will be held from 9 a.m. to 10 a.m. and will run through Sept. 1.
