Stater Bros. Produce Veep Receives City of Hope Award
COLTON, Calif. - Roger Schroeder, v.p. of produce for Stater Bros. Markets, has received the Spirit of Life Award from City of Hope. The award is presented annually by City of Hope to a community leader who has exhibited exceptional professional, humanitarian, and philanthropic achievements.
At Stater Bros. Schroeder oversees operations for the chain's produce and floral division, including the buying, merchandising, and marketing of produce and floral items for all 159 Stater Bros. Supermarkets.
With more than 44 years of experience in the industry, Schroeder also serves as chairman of the Fresh Produce and Floral Council, whose 600 members are involved in every aspect of produce and floral operations.
The Spirit of Life Award was presented to Schroeder at the annual Fresh Produce and Floral Council Luncheon, which raised much-needed funds for City of Hope.
