Stater Bros. Names Frahm Group SVP Administration

COLTON, Calif. -- Regional independent Stater Bros. promoted George Frahm to the newly created position of group s.v.p. of administration, with responsibility for human resources, labor relations, insurance, workers' compensation, and safety.

"George is a well-respected and valuable member of our senior management team," said Jack H. Brown, chairman and c.e.o. of Stater Bros. "His promotion is a direct result of his leadership skills and the contributions he has made and will continue to make to the success and growth of Stater Bros."

Frahm is a 33-year member of the Stater Bros., having joined the company in 1973 as a courtesy clerk and progressing through a range of retail store and district supervision positions. He was promoted to director of labor relations in 1995 and to v.p. of labor relations in 1996. In 2001, he was promoted to his most recent position of s.v.p. of administration.

Frahm has a Bachelor of Arts Degree in Psychology from California State University, Los Angeles, and is a graduate of the University of Southern California (USC) Food Industry Executive Program. He currently serves on the California Grocers Association (CGA) board of directors.

Stater Bros. was founded in 1936 and had annual sales in 2005 of $3.4 billion. The Company currently operates 163 Supermarkets, and has more than 17,000 employees.
