Stater Bros. Implements Cloud-based Refrigerant Solution

Stater Bros. has chosen cloud-based solution provider Polar Technology’s TrakRef to manage the refrigerant operations of its 167 supermarkets and new 2.3 million-square-foot corporate office and distribution center located in San Bernardino, Calif.

Refrigerant emissions affect the environment and company operating costs. As such, Stater Bros. officials said it selected TrakRef because of its versatility and ease of use, including the ability to manage multiple supermarket locations with real-time visibility to inventory, usage, leaks, repairs and disposal.

In addition to yielding efficiencies with a robust refrigerant management solution, Stater Bros. now has the ability with TrakRef to automatically upload data into the California Air Resources Board’s (CARB) Refrigerant Registration and Reporting System (R3), along with related regulatory reporting. The single feature will save Stater Bros. hundreds of hours of manually entering data.
