ShopRite to Host Dietitian Health Event, Expo
ShopRite’s team of registered dietitians will present a Health Event and Expo on Monday, Oct. 24 to introduce themselves to area nutrition professionals. At the event, slated for 4-7 p.m. at the Sheraton Meadowlands Hotel in East Rutherford, N.J., attendees will learn about the free services and partnership opportunities available through ShopRite’s retail dietitian program.
The event is not only an opportunity for ShopRite’s dietitians to educate like-minded professionals, but will also provide local nutrition professionals with a chance to network and a resource for support beyond their practices or workplaces, according to ShopRite, the registered trademark of Keasbey, N.J.-based Wakefern Food Corp., the largest supermarket cooperative in the United States.
Select ShopRite stores feature registered dietitians who provide individual consultations with customers at no charge, with the option to develop customized meal plans. ShopRite dietitians additionally educate shoppers on such issues as how to shop for healthy meals, the proper nutrition for specific medical conditions or how to incorporate more fruits and vegetables into their diets
There are more than 230 ShopRite supermarkets throughout New Jersey, New York, Pennsylvania, Connecticut, Delaware and Maryland.
