Schafer Family Retains 6 Gordy’s Locations

The Schafer family, owners of Gordy’s Markets in Wisconsin, has entered a purchase agreement to retain six Gordy’s locations set to be auctioned off. The sale is expected to be approved by a judge on Dec. 11.

“This transaction is in the best interest of our business, our customers, our vendors and our communities, and we are hopeful that the judge will issue his approval in December,” said Jeff Schafer, Gordy’s Market president, in a written statement.

As previously reported, most of Gordy’s Markets locations were sold to settle outstanding debts.
