Scaduto Re-elected NJFC Board Chairman
Philip Scaduto, VP of Middletown, N.J.-based Food Circus Supermarkets, was re-elected to a second term as chairman of the board of the New Jersey Food Council (NJFC) at the Trenton-based organization’s Annual Membership Meeting held this week at the Woodbridge Hilton in Iselin, N.J.
“While 2011 was an eventful year filled with unforeseen challenges and favorable results, I believe the industry is in an excellent position to capitalize on momentum and advance its agenda in 2012,” noted Scaduto.
“Phil Scaduto’s leadership as our chair has had a significant impact on the success of our agenda,” said NJFC President Linda Doherty. “His keen understanding of the political process and public policy has spearheaded NJFC during uncertain times here in New Jersey. This vision has enabled NJFC to define our future and continue to confront new food industry challenges.”
Joining Scaduto as association officers are Vice Chairwoman Judy Spires, Parsippany-based Kings Super Markets; Associate Vice Chairman Joe McCarthy, Bimbo Bakeries USA; Treasurer Michael Rothwell, Pennington-based Pennington Quality Market; Secretary Richard Saker, Freehold-based Saker ShopRites Inc.; and Doherty.
At the annual meeting, NJFC members also elected the board of directors for 2012.
