Roundy's Kicks Off Thanksgiving Campaign
In a two-pronged bid to encourage people to donate blood and combat hunger, Roundy's Supermarkets, Inc is teaming with the BloodCenter of Wisconsin's Thanks for Giving campaign, which offers donors the opportunity to give back to the community in another way.
For every 20 people who donate to BloodCenter of Wisconsin from November 10-22, Roundy's and Pick 'n Save will donate a turkey to Hunger Task Force and several other food banks throughout Wisconsin.
Visits to food pantries have greatly increased during the last two months, so the goal of BloodCenter - which is the only provider of blood to hospitals in 28 Wisconsin counties and all of the community hospitals in southeastern Wisconsin - now focuses on distributing 500 turkeys to Wisconsin families.
With nearly $4 billion in sales, Milwaukee-based Roundy's Supermarkets operates 152 retail grocery stores under the Pick 'n Save, Copps, Rainbow, and Metro Market banners in Wisconsin and Minnesota.
