Roundy's Enlists Customers in Anti-Hunger Efforts
Throughout September, Roundy's Foundation is urging Pick 'n Save, Copps and Rainbow customers to join its fight against hunger by purchasing a Roundy's Foundation Truck Pin-Up for $1, proceeds of which will be donated to selected food community pantries.
Roundy's will turn over the donations to local anti-hunger organizations October 13-17, the same week Roundy's Foundation goes on its bi-annual tour to deliver more than 100,000 pounds of food and $125,000 in cash to 50 selected food pantries.
When customers purchase a truck pin-up, their name will be written on the truck and put on display at their local store so that their neighbors can see that they support hunger relief in their community. At the end of September, all truck pin-up sales will be calculated for each store and the money donated to a pantry in that store's community. The final amount raised by our customers for each food pantry will be posted in their local store.
Chartered in August 2003, the Roundy's Foundation was created to further strengthen the commitment Roundy's Supermarkets, Inc. has to the communities in which it serves.
