Ralphs Launches Sweepstakes to Bridge Hispanic Digital Divide
LOS ANGELES - In an effort to tighten the digital divide, Ralphs Grocery Co. has launched a sweepstakes that will donate computers to Southern California schools in 300 regional stores when consumers use their Club Cards.
The sweepstakes, which got under way Oct. 1 and will run through Oct. 14, will find the operating division of Cincinnati-based Kroger giving away 95 computers. Shoppers will be automatically entered for a chance to win by using their Ralphs Club Card when they purchase any of the participating P&G brands that include: Tide, Gain, Downy, Dawn, Charmin, Bounty, Pampers, Pantene, Head & Shoulders, Crest, and Always.
Five grand-prize winners will receive one computer and will have the opportunity to donate 15 computers to the school of their choice, while 15 first-place winners will each receive one new computer.
Ralphs currently operates 460 conventional and warehouse-style supermarkets in California and southern Nevada under the Ralphs and Food 4 Less banners, among others.
