Puratos is opening an Innovation Center near Boston, similar to this one in Brussels.
Puratos continues its U.S. expansion with a new regional office and innovation center in Norwood, Mass. The Puratos Boston and Innovation Center will open on Thursday, Sept. 7.
The state-of-art, 5,300-square-foot facility is designed to bring the company’s management, sales, customer service and technical teams closer to its New England customers and consumers. The focus of the $1.5 million expansion is the Innovation Center, which provides Puratos’ commercial and artisan customers with access to the latest industry equipment, expertise and training as well as in-depth research into international trends.
“Helping our customers be even more successful with their businesses is behind our continuing expansion here in the United States,” said Daniel Malcorps, Puratos Group CEO. “With this new Innovation Center, we want to inspire our customers with better ideas based on consumer expectations, and support them in the development of their products and help them solve technical challenges.”
Puratos Boston makes the 82nd such facility that Puratos operates around the world. The centers give customers — artisans, industrial manufacturers, quick-serve restaurants and supermarkets —access to more than 460 advisors in the bakery, patisserie and chocolate-making categories. In the United States, Puratos operates six other centers, recently relocating its Miami facility, and the company plans to open a new Innovation Center in New York next year.
