Progressive Grocer Expands 2017 Retail Dietitian Symposium

As part of its commitment to empowering retail dietitians as they work to improve the health of consumers and enhance the business of grocery retail, Progressive Grocer will welcome qualified retail dietitians to its fifth annual Retail Dietitian Symposium, to take place June 3-5 at the Hyatt Regency Orange County in Anaheim, Calif.

Working with a board of registered dietitian advisors, Progressive Grocer created the agenda for the Retail Dietitian Symposium to provide two-and-a-half days of valuable content and continuing education credits. Session topics include top trends in grocery retail and their impact on the role of retail dietitians: “Answering the Call: What’s for Dinner,” “What Your Professional Brand Says About You,” “Expanding Your Reach through Internal and External Partnerships,” findings from a Progressive Grocer consumer health and wellness survey, special strategy sessions and much more. See the full agenda here. Progressive Grocer works with the Commission on Dietetic Registration and is a CPE Accredited Provider.

The Retail Dietitian Symposium always provides inspiration to dietitians, interaction with solution providers and invaluable peer networking. This year, the event also includes access to the IDDBA trade show June 5, with a special retail dietitian trade show floor tour.

At the Symposium, Progressive Grocer will present the 2nd annual Retail Dietitian Innovation Outreach Awards that recognize the most innovative programs RDs undertook in 2016. To provide a submission for consideration, please go to www.pgrd-awards.com. In addition to Progressive Grocer’s Outreach Innovation Awards, Phil Lempert, president and CEO of the Retail Dietitian Business Alliance, will also present the RDBA’s Retail Dietitian of the Year.
