Price Chopper Names Zone Director, Regional V.P., Operations

The Golub Corp./Price Chopper Supermarkets has appointed Irfan Badibanga and Mike Davidson to the positions of zone director and regional v.p., operations, respectively. Both are newly created positions.

Reporting directly to regional v.p., operations Al Provancher, Badibanga will oversee stores operating in the Capital District, as well as developing and attaining budgeted expense and profit figures for the area.

Badibanga joins Price Chopper from HEB, where he was director of store operations. Before that, he was a district manager at Winn-Dixie.

Reporting directly to v.p., operations David Golub, Davidson will be responsible for 29 Price Chopper stores in parts of New York, including some Capital District stores; Vermont ;and New Hampshire. He will develop and attain budgeted expense and profit figures, staffing, and merchandising programs and procedures.

Davidson comes to Price Chopper from Marsh Supermarkets, where he was v.p., operations. He was also v.p. of operations and merchandising at Topps Markets, LLC.

The Golub. Corp., based in Schenectady, N.Y., owns and operates over 100 Price Chopper grocery stores in New York, Vermont, Connecticut, Pennsylvania, Massachusetts, and New Hampshire. Family-owned Golub employs more than 23,000 associates who collectively own 55 percent of the company's privately held stock.
