Pathmark Stores to Get In-store TV Network From PRN Corp.

CARTERET, N.J. - Pathmark Stores, Inc. and Premier Retail Networks, Inc., a wholly owned subsidiary of San Francisco-based PRN Corp., have signed an agreement to install
PRN's in-store television network at checkout lanes in all of Pathmark's stores.

In a statement, John Derderian, e.v.p. of business strategy and marketing for the chain, said, "Offering PRN's in-store television network to our shoppers at our checkout lanes
supports our commitment to providing a superior shopping experience by providing helpful information. Pathmark has tested PRN's Supermarket Network at select stores, and over 90 percent of our customers perceive this to be a positive program offered at the checkout."

The in-store programming incorporates topics of interest to household decision makers -- including tips and information on the topics of home, family, self, and recreation. Longtime PRN content partners include Food Network, Discovery Health, Oxygen Network, and "In Style" magazine. News headlines and weather, updated automatically throughout the day using wireless digital network technology, are specific to each store's zip code.

Additionally, Pathmark and PRN are joining forces to use the network to promote awareness of Pathmark's fifth annual "Adopt-A-Family for the Holiday" program. For
the program each Pathmark store adopts at least one family from the community, and provides that needy family with assistance during the holiday season. Company associates donate gifts, for example, as well as Pathmark gift certificates that can be used to buy a holiday meal.

The PRN Corp. Network serves more than 5,000 retail stores in all of the 210 media markets designated by Progressive Grocer sister company AC Nielsen in the United States. Other food retailers carrying the PRN Network include Costco, Ralphs, Sam's Club, and Wal-Mart Stores.
